ECANA is devoted to the study of communication in Eurasian countries. ECANA, as a not-for-profit organization, exists for educational, scientific, and literary purposes only. Membership in the Association is open to persons interested in promoting the organization's purposes.
The purposes of the Eurasian Communication Association of North America are:
1) to promote and facilitate the study, criticism, research, teaching, and application of the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication in East-Central Europe, Russia, Central Asia, the Balkans, and the Caucasus.
2) to encourage collaborative work between communication scholars in the aforementioned regions and North American counterparts.
ECANA does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation, religion, ideology, political affiliation, age, disability, or marital status.
